Vidhi Behl Ramtri: One Vision, From Concept to Completion

The founder of Dubai-based interior design studio The White Window on building homes and workspaces around the way people actually live, one project at a time.

When Vidhi Behl Ramtri set up The White Window in Dubai in 2022, she built it around a simple idea: a client should not need to coordinate five different specialists to get a finished space. One designer should be able to see a project through, start to finish, under a single vision.

That idea has shaped the studio’s growth ever since. In just over three years, The White Window has worked on more than 50 projects across the UAE, with a strong focus on residential interiors alongside select office and commercial spaces.

“One designer. One vision. A complete space from concept to completion,” is how Ramtri sums up the philosophy behind her work, and it shows in how each project unfolds. Every assignment begins not with mood boards, but with a conversation: understanding a client’s lifestyle, requirements, budget and vision, before any of that gets translated into a design and execution plan.

Handling everything under one roof

What sets Ramtri apart, by her own account, is her ability to manage a project from the first sketch to the final handover. Space planning, material selection, civil and fit-out work, custom joinery, glass and aluminium work, purchasing, vendor coordination and site supervision are all handled within the same studio, under the same eye. For clients, that means one point of contact rather than a chain of contractors to chase.

“Clients can hand over the keys and receive a fully completed home, office or commercial space with confidence,” she says of the approach.

It is a model built on dependable delivery as much as design sense. Every layout, lighting choice, finish, storage solution and detail is planned with long-term comfort in mind, not just how a space photographs on the day it is finished.

Designing for how people actually live

For Ramtri, that distinction sits at the centre of her practice. “Good design should not only look beautiful, but also work beautifully,” she says. It is a principle she returns to often: the idea that a home or office has to function for the people living and working in it long after the design phase ends.

That balance of creativity, technical know-how and hands-on execution has become something of a signature for The White Window. Rather than handing off a concept and stepping back, Ramtri stays involved through construction, sourcing and installation, treating execution as part of the design itself rather than a separate phase.

As the studio’s project list continues to grow across Dubai and the wider UAE, that hands-on, single-vision approach remains the constant. For Ramtri, every finished space is still measured against the same question she started with: does it genuinely fit the way its owners live?
