Zenith Global Ventures Ltd has launched in London to invest in established businesses and selected growth opportunities in the United Kingdom and international markets.
Founded by investor and entrepreneur Hari Shankar Tibrewala and based in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, the company will invest exclusively its own capital. With no outside investors or fixed fund life, it can hold investments for the long term and support businesses through changing market conditions.
“Zenith Global Ventures has been set up to be a patient, disciplined owner of quality businesses. Because we invest our own capital, we can take a long-term view, back strong management teams and focus on lasting value rather than short-term results,” said Hari Shankar Tibrewala, the company’s founder and director.
The company will focus on four areas: established private businesses with proven business models and room to grow; selected listed companies whose share prices do not fully reflect their long-term value; technology and artificial intelligence businesses with durable competitive advantages; and strategic acquisitions.
Investments may include minority or controlling stakes, with scope for the company to contribute to governance, strategy and business development.
Each opportunity will be assessed against the quality of its earnings, cash flow and balance sheet, its competitive position, and the capability and integrity of its management. Due diligence will also examine reporting standards, shareholder alignment and the risks that could lead to a permanent loss of capital. All investments will be subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Zenith Global officials said London was chosen for its established legal framework, deep capital markets and access to advisers, banks and business owners.
Hari Shankar Tibrewala brings more than two decades of experience in Indian and international markets. He began his career in his family’s diversified businesses in India before moving to Dubai in 2013, where he founded investment holding company Zenith Global Limited. He subsequently established Zenith Multi Trading DMCC in 2014 and moved to London in 2024.
His investment approach centres on understanding a business’s competitive advantages, economics, capital allocation and management, with particular attention to governance and the quality of information available to investors.
“I invest in businesses, not stories,” Hari Shankar Tibrewala said.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance, with Distinction, from the University of Calcutta and writes The Long View, a weekly newsletter covering global markets, India and long-term investing.
