Dubai: School administrations have strengthened measures to enforce student appearance regulations, warning that repeated violations involving long hair or inappropriate hairstyles could lead to deductions from behaviour grades and further disciplinary action.Schools have informed students and parents through discipline guidelines that hairstyles deemed inconsistent with approved regulations must be corrected promptly. They stressed that adherence to appearance standards is not merely a matter of dress code but forms part of the behavioural obligations students are expected to follow throughout the academic year.Schools outlined a four-stage process for dealing with violations. The first step involves a verbal warning and an opportunity for the student to correct the issue and comply with school instructions.If the student fails to respond, the violation is documented and the parent is notified. In the third stage, five points are deducted from the student’s behaviour score, with further deductions possible if non-compliance continues.Should the violation persist despite these measures, the school may summon the parent, formally document the case and take the disciplinary actions outlined in the approved regulations.Schools also warned students and families against underestimating or repeatedly committing behavioural violations, emphasising the importance of behaviour grades in a student’s academic record.Parents have been urged to monitor their children’s compliance with school regulations and address any issues before they progress to more advanced stages of disciplinary procedures.
